The Kid Who Ran for President is an amazing book. It is one of my favorites. The book is about a boy named Judson Moon who decides to run for President, because he thinks grown-ups have done enough. He thinks it will be a good idea to have his neighbor, June Syers, to be his Vice President, so if people don’t like the idea of a kid running for president, they will vote for an older woman, Mrs. Syers. His best friend, Lane, is kind of like his manager. He told Judson that he would help him and write his speeches until Election Day, if they make it. Do you think he wins? Read the book to find out. The reason I love this book, is because your never ready to stop reading. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to find out what happens next.

My favorite holiday is Christmas, and here are some reasons why. One of my favorite reason is that my family and I get together and have a big feast. I also love that my uncle goes out and shoots a hog so we can eat it. My favorite part of the meal is the dessert. Every year my Me-Maw makes her delicious fudge. That brings me to another one of my favorite reasons. I love all the sweets on Christmas. I always get candy in my stocking, and it’s delicious! I love that I get to spend with my friends and family. I also love it when it snows, because it doesn’t snow here that often. That’s my favorite part, because my dog loves the snow, and I get to throw snowballs at my brother. That’s why Christmas is my favorite holiday! What’s yours?
